PRODUCTION PROCESS

THE PROCESS TO MANUFACTURE BIODIESEL:

Esterification (for High FFA Oils):

  • Raw materials like animal fats, used cooking oil (UCO), and tallow are treated with methanol and sulfuric acid (H₂SO₄).
  • This process converts free fatty acids (FFAs) into esters, preparing the feedstock for further processing.

Glycerol Recovery:

  • Crude glycerol is separated and treated with hydrochloric acid (HCl). to formed the crude glycerin of 80% purity and fatty oil

Transesterification:

  • Fats and oils are reacted with methanol in the presence ofa catalyst (e.g.,  sodium methylate or  potassium hydroxide(KOH)).
  • This process converts triglycerides into biodiesel (methylesters) and produces glycerol as a by-product.

Purification:

  • Crude biodiesel is washed, dried, and filtered to meet stringent qualitystandards.
